Explorer with tabs

Browse your Mac's files in a familiar Explorer-style window. Keep several folders open as tabs instead of a pile of windows.

Taskbar and snap layouts

A taskbar with Start, Search and a window switcher. Snap layouts let you pick where a window goes: open the picker from the taskbar's Snap button or by hovering a window's green button, then click a zone. Dragging a window to a screen edge works too.

Moving other apps' windows needs your permission in macOS Privacy & Security.

Workspaces

Save a group of folders and open them all together in one click. Your project, your downloads and your references, right where you left them.

Questions

How do I get an invite?

Toobl is free but invite-only for now. Ask a friend who uses Toobl: everyone gets a few codes to share. On first launch you enter the code and your email, and each code works on one Mac. After that, Toobl works offline.

What is Toobl not?

It is not a virtual machine and it does not run PC-only programs or .exe files. Toobl works with your Mac files and your Mac apps, and gives them a familiar way of working.

What about privacy?

This website sets no cookies and has no analytics or trackers. The Toobl app only uses the network to activate your invite, check once a day that it is still valid, look for updates, and send support messages you choose to write. It works on your files locally. If you use the chat on this site, your name, email and message are sent to us and stored so we can answer you, and a spam check from Cloudflare (Turnstile) runs when you open the chat. You can ask us to delete your messages by writing to us in the chat.

What do I need?

A Mac running macOS 14 or later, and an invite code.

How do updates work?

Toobl is notarized by Apple and updates itself. When a new version is out, the app finds it and installs it for you.
